R&D Engineer (Electrical)

Responsibilities:

Complete conceptual design of new electrical and control solutions.
Arrange the creation of prototype parts and assemblies
Liaise with internal/external suppliers as part of the design process, as required.
Modifications and amendments to legacy data/software
Attending meetings to support other departments with respect to technical input.
Working as part of a close-knit team to ensure the future quality of the product range.

Skills and Abilities:

A degree of HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or experience within programming, software or electrical engineering
Knowledge of automotive industry and their control systems would be advantageous
High levels of accuracy and a focus on attention to detail
Experience of the creation of wiring diagrams and harness designs
Proficiency in the use of 2D and 3D CAD
Experience of PLC programming using Codesys
Able to use Microsoft Office products
