Welder Apprentice

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Learn and apply welding techniques on various materials and positions Follow engineering drawings and specifications to complete welding tasks Maintain a clean and safe working environment Attend college sessions to complete the Level 2 Technical Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Prepare for and complete the End Point Assessment, including a welding observation and interview

Quality & Environmental Responsibilities:

Responsible for the management, compliance and upkeep of the quality & environmental procedures, records, and documents relevant to the role

Training:
Level 2 Technical Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Welder Qualification (Coding) (ISO 9606-1:2017) for chosen weld type and positions taken for EPA e.g 135 MAG, Plate, 6mm, PB position and 141 TIG, Plate, 3mm, PB position.
End Point Assessment Maths & English Level 2 (if required)

Training Outcome:
A full time post may be available on successful completion of the apprenticeship

Working Hours :
37 Hours per week between 06:30 and 16:00 Monday to Thursday 32 Hours per week between 07:00 and 15:30 Monday to Thursday (if under 18) Salary £13,644.80 adjustment for under 18
