Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice

Typical tasks include:

Working in a team of experienced joiners, CNC operators, and wood machinists Using a number of both hand & machinery woodworking tools, including CNC’s and measuring tools Working with CAD 3D and 2D design tools Learning to work as part of a team in a business environment Learning how to communicate in the workplace Understanding how to read technical drawings and manufacturing information Producing components to our clients’ specifications Developing an understanding of working to a deadline Assembling components Understanding timber and selecting appropriate species for the job Assessing risks and working in a safe manner

Training:
This apprenticeship is delivered by day release You will be attending Walsall Colleges Green Lane campus once per week and will be with the employer the other 4 days per week

Training Outcome:
A full time position will be offered upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
