Maintenance Fitter / Asset Care Engineer
Due to expansion and site investment, we have an exciting permanent opportunity available for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Fitter paying up to £46,900 working 12 noon to midnight, to join a very well-respected international manufacturer based in the Newcastle Under Lyme areaThis Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Fitter position will provide unrivalled training and personal development opportunities for the right individual.Working as part of the Maintenance Team you will be responsible for providing 'Hands-on' Mechanical fitting & Technical support to both Production and other internal functions throughout the Factory.
The position will focus upon planned maintenance repairs and machinery improvements.What’s in it for you:

Key Responsibilities Include:
Utilise a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to facilitate Planned Preventative Maintenance, Inspections, Service and Repairs
Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs to existing heavy machinery, potentially installing new plant, designing and fabricating parts/structures
Ensure rigorous application of continuous improvement tools and techniques across all areas of the manufacturing facility to optimise performance
Work collaboratively across all support functions, by building effective working relationships, to optimise factory performance.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Vocational and Technical qualifications to be considered: City and Guilds Level 3, BTEC Level 3 AND NVQ Level 3, Apprentice trained etc.
Maintenance experience and fault diagnosis of Pneumatics and Hydraulics systems
Knowledge of Welding / Basic Fabrication is desirable but not essential
