Apprentice Mill Technician

You will shadow the experienced team members, until you are deemed competent to carryout certain tasks.

During this time working alongside other technicians you will be given the opportunity to get involved with both electrical and mechanical tasks.

This could involve working on electrical control gear, programmable logic controllers, single phase circuits, etc.

As it is a multi-skilled roll, you will learn the mechanical side of maintaining conveyors, elevators, grinders and much more. This will involve changing bearings/gearboxes, fitting new equipment.

The other skill that will need to mastered is fabrication, making unique parts required to repair equipment or new fits.

Training Outcome:

On completion of the apprenticeship, you will be offered a position within the business as a Mill Technician.

Lloyd’s Animal feeds is the largest family-owned feed producer in the country. Established in 1964, Oswestry mill is the largest multi species mill in the country.

Working Hours :
Working hours - Monday to Friday (40 hours including College). Times to be confirmed.
