Apprentice - Data Technician
1. Data Collection: Collaborate with various teams to gather data including apprentice attendance, retention, engagement, etc., from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and relevance. This may involve extracting data from databases, College systems, or utilising data collection tools.
2. Data Analysis: Utilise statistical techniques, data mining methods, and data visualisation tools to analyse datasets and identify patterns, trends, and correlations in Apprenticeship data.
3. Report Generation: Create clear and concise reports summarising data analysis results, highlighting key findings, and providing actionable recommendations. Present information in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand format using charts, graphs, and dashboards.
4. Data Quality Assurance: Verify data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by conducting data cleansing, validation, and quality checks.
5. Data Visualization: Develop and maintain interactive visualizations and dashboards using tools like; Power BI, or Excel to present complex data in a user-friendly manner.
6. Collaborative Problem-Solving: Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the College, to identify data-related challenges, propose solutions, and support business process improvements.
7. Develop and Enhance: To develop and enhance skills and knowledge of the Apprenticeship data systems (EBS, Maytas, Markbook) and other associated software applications in order to deliver a consistently high level of data accuracy/validity.
8. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new tools and technologies in the field of data analysis. Seek opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills through training, workshops, or certifications.
