Apprentice Mayor’s Officer Assistant (S2502)
Principal Duties:
Carry out Administrations duties as directed which might include letters, invites and general correspondence and reports. Attend meetings with the Mayors officer as requested and take notes. Assist as directed with the catering and hospitality requirement of Mayor and any civic functions. Assist with the Mayoral engagements. Assist to host Mayoral and Civic events. Some housekeeping of the mayors parlour as directed To take and make phone calls as directed and pass on messages To work flexible hours which may include evening and weekend Mayoral events, such as Mayor Making Ceremonies, Remembrance Parades, Civic Sunday’s etc. Complete all Apprenticeship qualifications, including Maths and English to Grade C standard if not already held. Will be required to represent Rochdale in a positive light when hosting events which may have foreign dignitaries / members of the armed forces / local councillors / MP’sSecondary Duties:
To participate in training events as required. To work as part of the team in the development of the civic programme. Participate as required with the mayors Charity. Development of Knowledge of the buildings history/architecture to offer a guided tour to visitors if required. Act as an ambassador for the Mayoral office and Rochdale Borough Council.Training:
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
