They are looking for a Explosives Engineer / Metrics Engineer, where youll play a crucial role in maintaining industry standards and driving innovative technologies.
The Role:
The primary responsibility of the Explosives Engineer will involve executing service and equipment calibrations as instructed by the Senior Explosives Engineer.
This role entails ensuring that services are provided in a timely and standardised manner, with corresponding invoices generated through the Sales Office.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct drone surveys for site assessments.
* Process data for fragmentation and blast performance analysis.
* Manage vibration monitoring units and blasting equipment.
* Offer expert consultancy support, including statistical analysis.
* Safeguard adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
* Develop and enhance procedures for emerging technologies.
* Contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies.
* Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
* Facilitate industry training and seminars.
* Uphold technical competence in operational processes.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of experience with explosives in an industrial setting.
* Bachelors degree in science or engineering, ideally related to mining or geology.
* Specialised training in shotfiring, explosives supervision, and blast monitoring.
* Proficiency in blast design software, database management, and quarry mapping.
* Exceptional computer literacy.
