Mechanical Engineer
Mechanical Engineer to join a globally leading Chemical company based on one of their sites in the Blackpool area, on a permanent basis, for a salary of between £45,000 - £58,000 per annum.

The Mechanical Engineer is accountable for providing expertise and assisting with the development and deployment of the Asset Management Strategy, implement systems and procedures to facilitate its execution.
To be successful in this role as a Mechanical Engineer you will have a proven technical knowledge and experience with equipment specific to a Production Plant, as well as a working knowledge of Continuous Improvement Techniques such as Six Sigma, Lean etc.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer :
As the Mechanical Engineer , you will provide technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams, including coaching Maintenance Technicians and Apprentices as and when required.
Generate and implement new standards, ensuring compliance with them, and adhering to company and SHE standards to contain and minimise risks.
Identify, design and implement improvements within maintenance and operations to deliver SHE, Quality Availability and cost targets.
Manage the design, installation and commissioning processes in minor projects to ensure that they meet their SHE, Quality, Plan & Cost targets.
Lead root cause analysis of equipment failures utilising Maintenance Investigation Reports (MIR) to identify root cause and implement mitigation measures to prevent reoccurrence.
As the Mechanical Engineer , you will be responsible for managing projects up to £250K, with occasional responsibility for leading an improvement or project team.
