Job Type: Full Time, 45+ hours per week

Our client, a leading retailer is looking for an Optical Manager to join their team.

This is a full-time management role based in Leicester with a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, accompanied by excellent benefits.

Responsibilities:

? Provide oversight and direction for the Optical department and other relevant areas within the warehouse.
? Schedule, develop, counsel, train, and manage department personnel.
? Make recommendations for hiring, promotion, and termination to the Warehouse Manager.
? Review department budget, financial statements, and insurance payment records.
? Develop and implement plans to enhance merchandising, productivity, and profitability.
? Ensure compliance with department procedures and standards through observation of employee performance and paperwork.
? Uphold safety and security procedures within the department.
? Approve and submit orders for equipment, products, and supplies.
? Coordinate maintenance and repairs for machinery and equipment.
? Oversee apprentices working towards certification qualification.
? Conduct eyeglasses fitting and adjustments, as well as dispensing of contacts.
? Assist with front-end duties and support other departments as needed.
? Provide prompt and courteous service to members.


Requirements:

? Previous experience in a similar role
? Previous management experience (Preferred)
? Hold FBDO Accreditation.
? Service-oriented with a track record of going the extra mile.
? Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
