Income Auditor/General Cashier – UK Hospitality Group Role: Income Auditor/General CashierLocation: LondonSalary: up to £34kWe are working with a prestigious private members club located in Central London that has been the cultural and creative hub for creatives and innovative thinkers for many years.They are looking for an Income Auditor to join their finance team, where you will be supporting the Finance Manager and Head of Finance ensuring all system interfaces run smoothly and that interface revenues are reconciled, and system issues are reported to the help desk and Finance Supervisor in a timely manner.You will need to possess incredible communication, analytical and organisation skills and be part qualified.
Hospitality experience in a fast-paced business is also essential for this role.Job Responsibilities:
Verify that sales from Rooms, Food & Beverage, and other operating departments, reviewed by the Night Auditor, are correct.Analyse all daily cashiers' work for accuracy and completeness.Review the number of food covers processed for each outlet for reasonableness by reference to the average food cheque for each outlet for each meal period.Verify that the guest ledger balance and a total of all account detail balances for each room correspond to the system-generated guest ledger and General Ledger balance.Ensure that all sales voucher forms are used in sequence, with any lost and voided vouchers reported according to the procedure, and file them by outlet and in date order.Ensure the timely preparation and distribution of the daily revenue and statistics report.Post all transactions in the Revenue journal and to post into the Allowance journal any adjustments which may occur after those sales receipts are confirmed.Verify that all F&B discounted checks are fully justified, and properly recorded into POS system and prepare subsequent reports, as necessary, for hotel management.Investigate discrepancies and develop procedures to eliminate them.Prepare Daily Revenue Reports for Management review.Maintain a strong working knowledge of property management and point-of-sale systems.Work closely with external auditors concerning the income audit of the Hotel.
The successful candidate:
Minimum diploma in Accounting – professional qualifications are a plus!3 years in the same capacity in a Hospitality environment.Active and dynamic.Proficient in using MICROS, Opera PMS, and Microsoft Excel.Strong audit sense and sound business acumen.A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.Possess good communication and is highly motivated.Able to work under stress and in a fast-paced environment.
