We are proud to deliver Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) services, specifically in Careers Advice, across 18 prisons.
Currently, we are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Employment Coach/IAG Advisor to join our team at HMP The Mount. Responsibilities – Employment Coach:As an IAG Advisor, you will play a crucial role in assisting residents, prisoners, and learners in their journey towards fulfilling careers within the prison setting.
Your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive information, advice, and guidance to aid them in their career progression.
You will offer support in job search, employability skills development, confidence building, and interview preparation, all aimed at empowering individuals to succeed in their lives. What We Are Looking For:We seek dynamic, energetic, and proactive individuals who are passionate about delivering top-notch information, advice, and guidance to prisoners and are dedicated to helping them secure high-quality careers during their time in custody and upon their release.

We prefer candidates who have previous experience working within prison environments and have a thorough understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals in such settings. Person Specification – Employment Coach:To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
Proven experience in delivering IAG and careers advice through one-to-one sessions, group work, or coaching, particularly in induction, reviews, and pre-release settings.Track record of achieving targets and maintaining quality standards in the careers/employability sector.Demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire, and enthuse clients/customers towards pursuing rewarding employment opportunities.Proficiency in multitasking and efficiently managing a diverse case load within a prison environment.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire others effectively.A tenacious approach with an understanding of talent-based recruitment and selection by employers.Strong administrative, IT, and organizational skills, with membership in the Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP).
