Works Supervisor

A Housing Association based in South East London is currently recruiting for a Works Supervisor to join their Responsive Repairs Team as soon as possible.


This is an ongoing contract on full time basis with hybrid working available, the ideal candidate must have experience working within a supervisor / management role in a trades or repairs environment, ideally for a Council or Housing Client.


The purpose of the role is to manage the delivery of an exemplar repairs and maintenance service across a range of work streams for properties owned and managed by the Housing Association.
Responsibilities:

Responsibility for people and property health and safety, budget control, operational performance and ensuring the highest standards of customer service, to deliver key organisational Business Plan objectives
Responsible for the productivity, value for money and quality of Voids and Repair work undertaken by operatives managed by the post holder
Supervise, manage, motivate and develop trade operatives, ensuring works are completed to the required standard and operatives are trained to the appropriate level

Requirements:

Be competent and craft qualified in one of the following disciplines: (Level 2 diploma/or equivalent e.g.

NVQ):- Carpentry, Plumbing, Bricklaying, or similar trade
Hold HNC or equivalent qualification, have experience of Supervising a team of operatives.
Work across all departments of the DLO as required, primarily onsite providing technical expertise and managing operational delivery of the team with reactive, frequently changing and conflicting work priorities.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 based on experience.
