Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship – Earlham Primary School
Assist in the delivery of individual learning plans and EHCPs, providing targeted support in class and through evidence-based interventions
Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and promoting self-esteem, motivation, and independence
Use a variety of strategies and resources to ensure full curriculum access for all children, adapting support as needed
Attend to pupils’ personal, social, and health needs, and develop strong partnerships with parents and carers
Deliver planned activities to individuals or small groups, ensuring a clear understanding of lesson objectives
Contribute to planning, assessment, and evaluation of learning activities in collaboration with teachers and support staff
Keep accurate records of pupil progress and provide clear, objective feedback
Implement structured learning activities, adapting them to meet pupils’ needs and responses
Support national and local learning strategies (e.g., literacy, numeracy, EYFS, KS1), and encourage pupil engagement with ICT
Prepare and manage resources to support effective teaching and learning
Follow school policies on safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality, and data protection
Promote inclusion and equality, supporting the school’s ethos and values
Collaborate with staff and external professionals, attend relevant meetings and training, and support pupil supervision during breaks, clubs, and school trips
Training:
Study towards a relevant qualification, Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma
On-the-job training and mentoring from experienced professionals
Regular review meetings to track progress and development
Training Outcome:
Potential full-time employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm with a 30 minute break.
