Level 2 Bricklaying Apprentice

Block Laying: Cavity walling, including openings, brick inspection chambers, joint finishes, setting out a square, and setting out to a gauge rod and/or profiles. Interpreting Drawings and Specifications: Accurately follow plans and specifications. Setting Out Work Areas: Measure and set out level first courses of bricks to a plan, including bonds for openings and damp courses.
Mixing Mortar: By hand or with a mechanical mixer.
Laying Bricks: To set dimensions and applying mortar with a trowel to completion. Repair and Renewal: Repair and renew masonry structures.

Training:
Training will take place at our centre in Plympton.  You will be required to come into college 2 consecutive days every 2 weeks. 

Training Outcome:

There will be potential for full-time employment.

PM Bricklaying company based in Plymouth, looking to expand and give apprentices the opportunity to learn in a trade.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday between 9am - 5pm.
