CNC Machinist Apprentice

• Programming CNC machines using CAD and CAM software
• Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings
• Setting up tools, selecting cutting speeds, and maintaining tolerance levels
• Operating CNC machines and adjusting parameters for optimal precision
• Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring instruments
• Performing routine maintenance and tool changes
• Operating a range of machinery including lathes, grinders, milling machines, cutting tools, drills, and presses



Training:

An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence.

You will be expected to work towards the Machining Technician Level 3, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.



Training Outcome:

Full time role with the company.

Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
