Sheet Metal Fabrication Apprentice
Operation of CNC laser cutting machines to cut and shape stainless steel components
Use of press brake/folding machines to form precise metal parts
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD files
Measuring, marking, and preparing materials for fabrication
Assembling fabricated parts using techniques such as drilling, tapping, and fastening
Ensuring all work meets required quality and hygiene standards
Basic maintenance and safe operation of workshop tools and equipment
Working collaboratively within a manufacturing team and learning effective workflow practices
Training:
An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence
You will be expected to work towards the Metal Fabricator Level 3, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group
