Apprentice in Metal Fabricator Level 3

From the moment a drawing pack is issued.

The apprentice will…

* Find/Pick the correct components/Materials for the specific task.

* The components/materials will be prepared, as per the drawing’s specifications.

This may involve using various bits of equipment from the Guillotine, Drill Press, Press Brake, or various tools for grinding and linishing and even hole tapping.

* It will then be assembled in the correct way, according to the drawing and specific task.

This could be simply bolted together or welded, or even “as is,” ready for onsite assembly.

* There will be many instances where you will be installing and fitting onsite.

As well as onsite fabrication, other duties will include maintenance and overhauling of customer assets and equipment.



Training:

Level 3 Engineering Metal Fabricator (ST0607).

EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) (QAN 603/1353/9).

One day a week at College of West Anglia King’s Lynn campus.

We would like our apprentices to stay within our group, and we have many opportunities for the right person, to expand their skills and career with us.

We have well equipped, purpose built workshops based in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire and we work on sites both locally and throughout the country.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday. Between 07:00 to 15:30. With additional hours when necessary.
