Early Years Apprentice
Support the class teacher with daily routines and Early Years activities
Build strong relationships with children in the setting and across the school during duty times
Help set up and maintain engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments
Support children’s learning through play, story time, and group activities
Refer to the Early Learning Goals when observing and supporting children's development
Assist the class teacher in gathering observations and evidence for children's learning journals
Encourage children’s communication, independence, and social skills
Supervise children safely during playtime, snack time, and lunch breaks
Prepare and organise classroom resources and contribute to creative displays
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and work collaboratively with the Early Years team
Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children
Training:
13 months practical training period, plus 3 months for End Point Assessment.
Delivery model:
Work-based training with your employer Approximately 12 on-site assessment visits per year Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required) Off-the-job training will count for at least 6 hours a week of an apprentice’s time at workTraining Outcome:
Potential to move into a full-time role dependent on school's vacancies.
