Protaform – Level 3 - Apprentice Toolmaker

This is an engineering apprenticeship that will last up to 42 months
Time will be spent between Make UK’s training facility and in company
Skills you will develop but not an exhaustive list are:
• To produce components using hand fitting techniques
• Preparing and using lathes, milling and CNC machines
• Producing engineering drawings using a CAD system
• This pathway will lead towards becoming a highly skilled engineer
Training:
Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with us and Make UK, which are fully paid for, including:
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Practical Foundation Training – in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Workplace Competence Training - in years 2 to 4 in company Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge - in Years 1, 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK In house training in line with your requirements Further qualifications deemed necessary by your employerOn completion of your studies and End Point Assessment (EPA), you will achieve your full apprenticeship certification that will prove competence as a Level 3 Engineering Technician.
Training Outcome:
For the right candidate at the end of a successful apprenticeship, a permanent role will be made available Historically, working in these types of roles has led to advancement into various supervisory positions

We specialise in presswork’s, spring manufacturing, welding, soldering and many different types of assembly work. At Protaform: Monday- Thursday 7.30am- 4.30pm Friday 7.30am- 12.30pm
