Apprentice Welder / Fabricator

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a motivated and hands-on individual to join our team as a Trainee Fabricator/Welder. This is an exciting opportunity to learn a highly skilled trade within a supportive and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities:

Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Fabricate steel and aluminium components using a variety of hand and power tools Develop skills in MIG welding of mild steel and aluminium Operate relevant metalwork machinery under supervision Maintain a safe and organised working environment Follow all company and industry safety protocols

A keen interest in fabrication, welding, and engineering Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn Basic understanding of workshop safety (training provided) Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Training:

The successful candidate will train in the workplace 4 days a week, and in college 1 day a week. You will also have a workplace visit once a month from a college tutor. You will complete a BTEC Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering within this apprenticeship.



Training Outcome:

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship there is an opportunity for permanent employment.

We provide a wide range of structural and secondary solutions for small to medium sized complex structural steel and façade projects. Fully CE accredited to execution class 2. General fabrications has been the back bone of the company since it was established. We can manufacture just about anything and a large number of customers come to us for their industrial fabrication requirements. We are based in the North East of England but service customers nationally and internationally.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday, 7.45am - 4.45pm. Friday, 7.45am - 1.45pm.
