Apprentice Early Years Educator

As an apprentice at Muddy Boots, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for delivering high-quality, nature-based learning experiences. We believe that outdoor adventures are at the heart of childhood development, and we are committed to fostering a fun, supportive, and enriching environment for both children and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Help to plan and deliver engaging learning activities, with a focus on outdoor play and exploration Learn to observe, assess, and support children’s individual learning journeys Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members Ensure a safe, inspiring, and stimulating environment for all children Contribute to a happy, healthy, and thriving team that loves what they do!

Training:

This apprenticeship will give you the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to work as an Early Years Educator. 

You will attend York College on a day release for the duration of the apprenticeship and work with your employer for the remainder of their contracted hours. During your time in college, you will work towards developing your knowledge, skills and behaviours, and at work will consolidate your on-programme learning with the support of their employer. An assessor will visit the workplace every 8-10 weeks to discuss and monitor progress on the apprenticeship in conjunction with your employer.  

Training will include paediatric first aid qualification.

You will also produce a portfolio of evidence demonstrating examples of your work throughout the apprenticeship which will form the basis for the interview during the End-Point Assessment (EPA).



Training Outcome:

Progression to Level 5 training and opportunities to progress through Room Management, Nursery Management or work at any of our other sites in York or Leeds.

Monday to Friday 4 day working week Start time 8am Latest finish 6pm This will be worked on a rota basis
