Apprentice Service Technician

As an apprentice, you will develop expertise in the inspection and repair of Makita products, including:

Basic Repair Knowledge: Warranty policy, repair guidelines, service information, repair manuals/videos.

Mechanical Components: Gears, bearings, fasteners, seals, springs, keys, oils/adhesives.

Electrical Components: Armature, field, motors, switches, carbon brushes, soldering, wiring, battery technology.

Hand Tools: Pliers, torque wrenches, arbor press, retaining ring pliers, impact driver bits.

Diagnostic Tools: PAT testers, multimeters, tachometers. Ability to diagnose tool issues with minimal supervision. Responsible for ensuring Makita repairs are inspected, repaired, and serviced in accordance with set targets of quality and consistency.



Training:

Engineering and Manufacturing Technical Support Apprenticeship.  Training and development: Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills, tool expertise, customer service abilities, and knowledge of internal systems and software. Attend customer training sessions as required. Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll get: Expert mentors/trainers who will guide you through your apprenticeship Hands-on learning, which will give you real-world feedback  Modern facilities with ample access to tech equipment and resources, and much more!



Training Outcome:

A role within the company may be on offer upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
