Apprentice Electrician

As an Apprentice Electrician, you’ll work alongside our qualified Electricians, gaining valuable industry experience and learning the trade both on-site and through formal training.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Supporting a qualified Electrician in various electrical installations. Working on projects across residential, commercial and industrial settings. Helping with the installation of lighting, sockets, consumer units and EV chargers. Identifying and troubleshooting electrical faults to ensure safe and efficient operation. Adhering to health and safety regulations. Preparing work areas and cleaning up after jobs. Attending college and maintaining your apprenticeship portfolio. All other associated duties as required.

Training:

Our Level 3 Electrical apprenticeship runs on a day-release model. You will attend day-release college training at The Grimsby Institute for one day each week (within term-time). The full apprenticeship duration is approximately 48 months, but if you have already completed a relevant Level 3 learning programme, the duration may be reduced to account for your prior learning.

Grimsby Institute has a free college bus service that runs across North and North East Lincolnshire.

At Skidmore Electrical, we are a trusted and experienced electrical contractor with over 20 years in the industry. Based in West Stockwith, we work across domestic, commercial and industrial sectors, delivering reliable and professional services ranging from full house rewires and EV charger installations to security systems and industrial control panels.

Working Hours :
Hours of work may be varied, but standard hours would be Monday to Friday, 08.00 - 16.30.
