UX Designer

We are currently recruiting for a UX Designer to work within a AAA Game Development Studio based in the North West.BENEFITS: up to £70k, annual bonus, at least 21 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas Shut down.

Flexible working hours, hybrid or fully remote working available, state of the art equipment, amazing work/life balance and NO CRUNCH!You will be an experienced UX Designer who has experience with working with Unreal Engine 5 on at least one published gaming title on PS4 & PS5, XboxOne, Switch or PC.

You will be responsible for creating outstanding user experiences and creating UX design for a powerful in-game map editor in UE5, leading iterative prototyping processes to validate design intentions and testing user interactions, and creating all relevant documentations for the UX features, including user stories, game/UK logic, menu flows, in-came layouts and mock-ups.

The Studio are a highly experienced Game Development Studio who partner with well known AAA Studios and who bring their expertise and passion for games to create exceptional player experiences.

The Studio are based in the North West, but are open for staff to work hybrid or fully remote dependant on where they are based.

Previous experience working as a UX Designer in a Gaming Studio
Previously worked on at least one published title using UE6
Strong experience with Unreal Engine 5
High attention to detail
Ability to identify and fix potential UX issues during the design stage
Passionate about video games
Excellent communication skills

Nice to have skills

Experience working on AA or AAA titles
Knowledge of world building tools
Knowledge of social psychology, cognitive and motivational theories
Knowledge of information architecture, ergonomic and accessibility principles
Visual design skills
Previous experience working with FPS games
