Apprentice Fabrication and Welding Manufacturing Operative

As an Apprentice Fabricator/Welder, you'll be initially responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

Carry out fabrication and welding activities including use of a MIG/TIG set, robot welder, various tooling and equipment Accurately interpret CAD/technical drawings Ensure correct marking up of component parts Working to quality standards required for the components Welding joints in accordance with approved welding procedures and quality requirements (TIG, MIG) Using a variety of modern equipment to shape, form and cut metal and plastic materials Undertaking final inspections of finished components Maintaining a clean, organised and productive work area Ensure job timings are met/exceeded

You’ll develop your skills with a mentor alongside dedicated Auditoria employees and previous apprentices who are eager to pass on their knowledge. You will learn a variety of duties and support the whole business. You’ll be taught and mentored to achieve your full potential and create the foundation of a career in engineering/manufacturing.

Training:

The successful candidates will continue their studies with apprenticeship specialists, RNN Group at their Rotherham campus on a day release format, giving you the training and support you need to become an all-rounded and successful Engineer.

The Apprenticeship Standard you will be studying is Engineering Operative– Fabrication/Welding– Level 2. This will include Functional Skills in English and maths if required.
