Equine Groom Apprenticeship - Show jumping yard

We are looking for a groom who will be completing all associated jobs involved in the care and welfare of horses. This is a competition yard with high level horses, to include all general yard duties :

Mucking out/ keeping yard tidy Turning in and out Filling haynets/ water buckets Making feeds Grooming / picking out feet Tacking up / untacking Travelling to shows as a competition groom possible for right candidate Riding available for right candidate

Training:

All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

Training Outcome:

Progression to Level 3 Senior equine Groom apprenticeship, and/or possibility of full time employment on completion of apprenticeship.

Employer Description:
Pippa Allen and Stephen Crosby based in Drighlington, West Yorkshire. We focus on breeding, producing and sales of top young horses for showjumping.

Working Hours :
Working 5 days out of 7, shift pattern to be discussed and agreed with the employer and successful candidate. Please expect weekend work as part of this role.
