Location: Blackpool – Working Nationwide

We are an established North West based facilities management company with over 100 engineers nationally.
We specialise in the Electrical, Mechanical and Gas Industry.
Our contracts include Schools, Banks, Hospitals, MOD, Government Buildings and Local Authorities.
As a Security & Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems.
Your expertise in data and security engineering, coupled with your knowledge of industry standards and best practices, will be essential in ensuring the effective operation and security of our clients' premises.
You will work closely with clients, project teams, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
Install and configure access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems based on project requirements and design specifications.
Conduct site surveys to assess infrastructure readiness, determine equipment placement, and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
Perform system integration, including network connectivity, software setup, and device configuration.
Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to verify system functionality and identify and resolve any installation issues.
Provide ongoing maintenance and support for installed data and security systems.
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure system reliability and optimal performance.
Stay updated with the latest software updates and firmware releases, applying patches and upgrades as necessary.
Respond promptly to client service requests, troubleshooting system issues, and implementing effective solutions.
Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely documentation of project deliverables.
Provide technical support to clients, addressing their inquiries, troubleshooting system issues, and resolving any concerns.
Essential Qualifications / Experience (All of the following will be considered):
C&G (City & Guilds) 1851/1852/1853 qualification or equivalent in data and security engineering.
Proven experience (minimum X years) in installing, configuring, and maintaining access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems.
Knowledge of industry-leading brands and products in data and security engineering, with expertise in system integration and troubleshooting.
