Job Vacancy: Senior Support Worker Location: Harlow Work Pattern: Mon-Fri 9am-5pmJob Summary: We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Senior Support Worker.

This position involves managing a team of support workers who provide assistance to adults experiencing homelessness and minor challenging behaviors.

The primary goal of this role is to help individuals regain independence by offering support with tenancy agreements, benefit schemes, and facilitating their transition back into independent living.

The position is offered on a 9-month contract basis.Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise a team of support workers, providing guidance, support, and training as needed
Work collaboratively with the team to develop personalized support plans for individuals experiencing homelessness
Assist individuals with the completion and understanding of tenancy agreements, ensuring they are well-informed about their rights and responsibilities
Support individuals in accessing and navigating benefit schemes to maximize their financial stability
Conduct regular assessments and reviews of individual progress, adjusting support plans accordingly
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and safeguarding regulations
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes dignity, respect, and independence for all individuals

Requirements:

Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Strong understanding of tenancy agreements and benefit schemes, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation
Experience in working with individuals who exhibit minor challenging behaviors
Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is essential
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Empathetic and compassionate nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others
