Location: Hampshire

Salary: £38,000 - £47,000 per annum

Start Date: Immediate

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our clients Accounting and Tax Advisory practice in Hampshire.

As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibility will be managing a portfolio of clients.

This is an office-based position with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 9.00am - 5.00pm, and a half-day on Fridays.

Duties:

* Perform compilation and review tasks for accounts related to sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
* Prepare tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts.
* Review bookkeeping records and VAT returns.
* Oversee and assess the work of junior staff members.
* Provide daily assistance to clients in resolving accounting inquiries.
* Act as a liaison between clients and HMRC, handling communications and matters on their behalf.
* Support the provision of additional value-added services.


Requirements:

* Minimum of 5 years experience working in a UK accountancy practice.
* fully qualified ACA or ACCA is required.
* Proficiency in electronic accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
* Conscientious and collaborative team player capable of working effectively under pressure.
* Demonstrated ability to handle client interactions promptly, accurately, and efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills are essential for this position.
