Our client, a well-established accountancy practice is seeking an experienced and qualified Accounts Manager to join their team.

You will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting services to a diverse client base, ranging from small sole traders to directors of limited companies.

The Role:

You will play a crucial role in planning and reviewing accounts, preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting tax planning, and providing valuable advice to clients.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to manage a client portfolio, oversee junior staff, and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.


? Conduct comprehensive analysis and evaluation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
? Deliver finalised accounts to clients in a timely manner, maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
? Manage budgets for staff and provide on-the-job training to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
? Skillfully handle tax-related matters, including the preparation and review of tax returns, tax planning, and providing expert advice to clients.
? Efficiently manage client portfolio and correspondence, including billing and addressing any tax enquiries that may arise.


? At least 1 year of recent post-qualification experience or qualified by experience.
? Proven experience in accounts preparation within a fast-paced accountancy practice environment.
? Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero, as well as accounts production software like CCH.
? ACA or ACCA qualification.
