If yes, read on . My established client specialises in manufacturing components for the automotive industry. They are currently looking for a new Quality Engineer to join their small but established quality team. Commutable from Nuneaton, Warwick, Rugby, Leamington Spa and Hinckley. This is a hands-on position, mainly related to inspection, where flexibility and a desire to constantly improve are the most relevant soft skills to assure a systematic company improvement. The role requires a strong cross functional relationship to communicate key issues effectively on a regular basis to all staff, customers and suppliers. Duties Include - Quality Engineer - Working as part of the Quality Inspection team to ensure quality process controls are properly engineered, based on ISO:9001 rules, on Customer Specific Requirements, on the feasibility analysis and PFMEA results - Collaborate with production and design teams to promote customer satisfaction across all employees on site - Managing the Quality Management System - CMM Programming, Online and Offline (Offline programming training can be provided) - Monitor and report Quality KPIs - PPAP's and APQP's (training can be provided) - Respond proactively to customer complaints and questionnaires, resolving them in a timely manner and reporting on outcomes - Work closely with the Design Team to resolve any production-related build issues - Maintain and improve existing Quality Systems - Conduct internal and supplier audits as needed - Inspection under direct quality staff responsibility at all stages of production against the design specification are carry out Key Skills / Experience Required - Quality Engineer - Experience in quality control in the engineering manufacturing field, particularly on machined components - Interpretation of mechanical drawings (ISO Standard) - Knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances GD&T - Ability to select and use basic measuring equipment, micrometres, calipers, protractors etc - Ability to use standard gauging including plug, gap, acceptance etc - CMM basic program editing, probe qualification etc - Ability to interpret and understand specific customer quality standards and requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of IS0:9001 - Ability to provide Quality Assurance support on quality tools and best practices, in a fast-paced engineering environment (ISR - Initial Sample Reports, balloons drawings, control plans, 8d reports, Deviation and Concession Requests, AIMs Action in Manufacturing, etc.) - Basic Metrology experience - Experience carrying out internal audits as per the ISO9001 standard - Competent problem-solving skills - Excellent oral and written English and basic computer skills The Package - Quality Inspector - Starting salary of up to £38K per annum, depending on experience - Day shifts, Monday to Friday including early finish Friday - Enhanced Overtime Rates - Pension and Enhanced Holiday Package Interested?
