Planning Officer

A client within the Public Sector based in Wales is currently recruiting for a Planning Officer to join their Property, Planning & Public Protection team as soon as possible.

The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.

The Role
Key purpose of the role to professionally contribute to the preparation of relevant development plans and supplementary planning guidance.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

To take the lead on specific planning policy topic areas.




To contribute towards the monitoring, review, and formulation of planning policy.
To represent the Authority at public examinations, inquiries, and hearings.


The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:

Degree or equivalent in Planning or a planning related subject.
Experience of dealing with elected members, statutory consultees, the private sector, and the wider community.


The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.


Previous experience of Planning Policy.


The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £21.13 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
