Job Title: Storekeeper Location: Bakewell Salary: £22,000 DOE Hours Monday to Friday : 8.30 to 4.30pm The Candidate
Ability to work accurately and methodically.Good numeracy and IT skillsGood communication skillsAbility to plan and organise work with excellent attention to detail.Ability to accurately complete paperwork and count stock itemsAn understanding of health and safety requirementsFlexible approach to duties and tasksAn ability to & willingness to undertake training to secure forklift licence.Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor qualityA basic working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeBe able to demonstrate possession of the Company Values - Accountability & OwnershipA forklift truck licence and/or licence to drive assisted lift equipment is preferred.Experience of using SAP B1 is desirable.Previous experience of working in a Warehouse environment
The Role
Take delivery of goods and suppliesCheck for damaged or missing items.Maintain organised quarantine area for goods from suppliers with quality issues.Locate and store goods appropriately within the warehouse.Pick production orders according to the Production ScheduleNotify Purchasing of stock shortages.Pick off-the-shelf items for orders according to the Production ScheduleMove stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck (desirable)Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerised systemKeep accurate stock records.Carry out stock counts as and when required.Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others.Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner.Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value.Creates and maintains excellent working relationships with all areas of the business.Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies as and when required in a timely way.Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures.Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working together.Ensures the QA documentation covering Stores is kept up to date with the latest procedures.Engaged and motivated to learn about CODEL products to better carry out role.
