Clinical Development Partner (Nursing)

You will provide colleagues with the highest standard of clinical training and support, in accordance with their individual personal development plan and the Home’s training needs

**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin**

As the Clinical Development Partner your key responsibilities include:

Ensure all new Clinical Colleagues are shown a consistent approach to the training and assessment of clinical skills
Provide a preparatory programme to support overseas nurses in advance of their Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE) that is aligned with NMC expectations
Work with your Line Manager to design and deliver a robust nurse induction programme at all levels of the role
Support the Care Home Assistant Practitioner Programme (CHAP) implementation, through the provision of training, assessment, and evaluation
Ensure all clinical training is evidence based as per the Clinical Governance policy
Provide support for the Regional Training team in developing their clinical knowledge
Collaboratively work with the Central and Operational People Development team to build strong networking relationships
Maintain professional conduct at all times
Adopt safe working practices in accordance with health & safety guidelines
Ensure continuous personal development: including all relevant mandatory, ‘train the trainer’ updates and clinical skills are kept up to date and qualifications are certified at all times and that you work towards NMC Revalidation at renewal of registration


The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

Experience in training within a Care Home
Effective coaching skills, with the ability to give feedback on both regulatory training and people development matters
Have knowledge of learning and development theory and the application of different models
IT literate, with a working understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook applications
Experience training clinical skills
Understanding of current clinical practices through evidenced based CPD and Revalidation Requirements
Ability to work both on your own and as part of a wider team


The successful Clinical Development Partner will receive an excellent salary up to £50,000 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role for 40 hours a week working through Day Shifts.
