This permanent Applications Engineer position is with a UK based OEM company, specialising in the installation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment within the chemical & pharmaceutical sectors.
Our client is a leading supplier of special purpose machinery for an array of industries on a global scale who are recruiting for an Engineering Application Engineer.
They have been established since the 1940’s and have made an extremely respectable name for themselves which has resulted in them securing a number of blue chip clients along the way.
Due to a very successful year they now have a requirement for an experienced Applications Engineer to bolster their established applications team.
Responsibilities for the Applications Engineer The successful Applications Engineer will be responsible for the conceptual design and development of equipment and systems and redesign of existing systems to fulfil the requirements of internal and the external clientele.
Other daily duties will consist of the following; - Ensure that all sales prospects, enquiries and quotations are professionally managed and delivered to the customer in accordance with procedures - Continually seek and identify opportunities for cost savings through innovation and the application of best practice.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding company engineering and production capabilities and provide technical information.
- Review customer’s User Requirement Specification (URS), Tender or other inquiry to develop the Equipment Specification.
- Design conceptual layout of projects to provide information for the preparation of the proposal drawings and estimates.
- Review price estimates and delivery commitments for potential new jobs.
