Service Charge Accountant

Service Charge Accountant – £35,000 to £40,000 – Kentish Town, NW5My client is searching for a Service Charge Account to join their established team in North Kentish Town, NW5.

Offering a range of services, my client is an expert in Sales, lettings, surveying & block management.

They’re now looking to add a service charge accountant to the team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant to join an established business.

Duties

Preparing monthly and quarterly client reporting: Client statements, cashflow, income and expenditure, and budget vs actual with relevant commentary for Director approval prior to sending to client.
Preparing full Year-end service charge reconciliation: Income and expenditure -balance sheet – Extended trail balances - with relevant workings for Property Manager approval prior to sending to client and audit review.
Dealing with client and audit queries.
Dealing with existing and providing ETB reconciliation.
Issuing s20b where accounts cannot be met within six months after the Year-end.
Dealing with lessees, clients and resident association members queries.
Assisting Property Manager in preparing yearly service charge budgets.
Raising charges: Year-end balancing charges / credits, on account service charge, and tenant recharge.
Assisting with monthly bank reconciliations.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of the Qube system
Solid Accounting experience / service charge accounts experience
Property knowledge would be ideal but not essential
Reliable commute to Kentish Town or plan to relocate before start date
