Histology Technolgist
We are currently looking for a Histology Technologist to join a leading Biotechnology company based in the Cambridgeshire area.
As the Histology Technologist you will be responsible for performing highly complex laboratory testing procedures and leading laboratory validations.
This is a great opportunity for a scientist with experience working in a clinical setting to join a robust biotechnology company to facilitate in the contribution to early stage cancer research
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Histology Technologist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1.
You will analyse specimens to facilitate with the production of tissue growing, tissue processing, and H&E staining using manual and automated staining methods.
2.
You will precisely and accurately perform a variety of routine and specialised histology techniques and procedures.
3.
You will prepare stock solutions, reagents, and cocktails used in the laboratory in accordance to SOPs guidelines.
4.
You will participate in continuous education through training, uphold general maintenance of the laboratory, and make suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity in the laboratory.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Histology Technologist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1.
Relevant degree in a life sciences discipline such as Biomedical science, biology, etc.
2.
Proven industry experience working in a clinical GCLP environment.
3.
A working knowledge and practical experience with laboratory techniques such as tissue staining, slide preparation, stock solution preparation, and FISH.
