About the Company

A global insurance company is looking for an Events Support Engineer to join their team.

The candidate will be expected to:
• Work on multiple events throughout the full lifecycle of design to delivery, acting as a hands-on technical engineer across in-person, hybrid and virtual events and conferences.
• Provide support and technical expertise with event registration, production and broadcasting/delivery, sometimes in highly pressured situations, e.g.

live event broadcast.
• Work in a fast-pace environment with high degrees of ambiguity arising from a period of significant change, with some unsociable hours during (and in the lead up to) events
• Interact confidentially and professionally with corporate VIPs and external clients as this is a highly visible ‘front-of-house’ role.

Responsibilities

• Ability to provide support to executives/VIPs with camera setup, microphone fitting, etc., along with supporting executive meetings & webinars primarily on Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Webex
• Ability to translate business event requirements into feasible technology solutions
• Ability to work with third party production companies, event management platforms
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills, being able to document events requirements and technical specifications clearly
• Ability to assist with the technical delivery of solutions for multiple events adhering to the agreed solution designs
• Excellent communication skills, to be highly collaborative with the current team, management structure and business leaders
• Ability to provide support for end-users during events
• Ability to provide reporting during and post event to the Events Teams and senior group leadership

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills and personal qualities
• Detailed Microsoft Teams and Zoom knowledge is fundamental to this role
• Detailed Audio/Visual hardware knowledge, e.g.

cameras, microphones, speakers
• Good understanding of Logitech Teams Meeting Rooms
• Good understanding of video production / broadcasting, e.g.

video and sound source mixing
• Ability to edit and publish recorded content onto a web platform, e.g.

Vimeo and Workplace
• Ability to develop test plans for both standard meeting rooms and ad-hoc event venue Audio/Visual IT configuration
• Ability to apply test plans consistently and reliably to meeting room and venue spaces to certify that a room or space is ready for use.
• Logging/quantifying of workloads in our ITSM tool (ServiceNow).
