Head Chef - Healthcare Contract Catering

Hours: 5 days out of 7 | Predominantly Monday–Friday | Occasional weekends

Are you a Head Chef who loves fresh food, leading a team and creating exciting menus without the late nights of restaurant kitchens?

I'm recruiting a Head Chef for a busy hospital catering operation in North London.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of an established kitchen, improve the food offering and bring fresh ideas to a varied staff and visitor restaurant.

You'll have a Sous Chef supporting you and the opportunity to make a real difference to the food and service.

Salary & Benefits

The Operation

Busy hospital staff and visitor restaurant.Approximately 200–300 customers daily.Fresh breakfast and lunch service.Hot food counters and daily specials.Grab-and-go, salads and yoghurt bar.Varied international, vegetarian and vegan dishes.Around 11 dishes across the daily food offering.

The Role

Lead the daily kitchen operation.Create fresh, appealing meals and daily specials.Manage and develop the Sous Chef and kitchen team.Maintain excellent food quality and presentation.Oversee ordering, stock, food costs and waste.Deliver menus through the company's catering system.Maintain food safety, allergen and hygiene standards.Work closely with management to improve the food offering.

About You

Experienced Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up.Background in contract catering, healthcare, B&I, education or high-volume catering.Confident delivering fresh food for busy restaurant services.Experience managing kitchen teams and food costs.Strong knowledge of food safety and allergens.Creative with menus, organised and hands-on.Passionate about improving food quality and customer experience.
