Adoption Practice Manager
A Therapeutic Independent Fostering Agency with an ‘Good’ Ofsted rating is looking for an Adoption Practice Manager to join their team.
This is a permanent & full-time position.
They are seeking to recruit a part-time permanent Adoption Practice Manager (30 hours – with the potential of increasing to 37 hours) within the IFA’s Cymru Adoption Service.
They are a Pan-Wales service which means they work with prospective adopters and adopters across Wales.
They are looking for a Practice Manager who is innovative, dynamic and forward-thinking to join their established leadership team and to lead the Adoption Team working with families across Wales.
As a Practice Manager you will manage a team of adoption social workers and family finders who assess and prepare prospective adoptive families to meet the needs of children with an adoption plan.

Your responsibilities as the Adoption Practice Manager:
Acts as a role model to staff, setting a clear agenda for the service, contributing a sense of common purpose amongst all Family Placement staff
Actively engages with staff on key aspects of the employment relationship in line with the role defined for a manager in People Policy and Procedures
Keeps up to date with developments in Family Placement legislative requirements, relevant inspection bodies criteria and Barnardo’s policy and procedures; disseminates information to staff and encourages continuing professional and career development in staff
Ensures all employees and volunteers in the service undertake relevant/required/regulatory learning and development to meet the needs of their service users and to comply with prevailing policy and procedures.
Ensure that where appropriate or required out of hours cover for the service is effectively managed and available at all times
Requirements of you as the Adoption Practice Manager:
A recognised social work qualification or a professional qualification relevant to working with children Valid registration with appropriate Health and Social care inspectorate (HCPC, SSSC, CCWales, NISCC)
Sound knowledge and understanding of statutory and good practice requirements in Family Placement.
Sound knowledge of, and experience in, matters of child protection and Safeguarding
Knowledge and understanding of Fostering and Adoption services.
Active commitment to Continuing Professional Development
