To contribute to the overall manufacturing strategy and ensure that the site is compliant with ISO 9001, other customer specific standards and environmental regulations.  Operations ManagerMain Responsibilities
Effectively manage all production areas.Ensure planned Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded by working closely with production team members.Ensure all products are of correct quality standards and are produced to ensure on time delivery.Monitor the production processes informing the planner of any issues or delays to ensure any potential late orders are mitigated.Ensure accurate and timely feedback of production data.Lead and direct Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) initiatives and pro-actively seek improvements in productivity, quality and cost reduction.Ensure manufacturing instructions are followed and amended where appropriate to reflect current standards.Support Quality/Technical to oversee relevant production trialsManage the training and evaluation of new or re-assigned team members.Ensure effective teamwork and communication with all production personnel, other areas of the business, suppliers and customers as required.Manage all production personnel in accordance with the Company Handbook.Encourage and enforce as required site safety and excellent housekeepingEnsure accurate stock control of raw materials and finished goods.Ensure compliance with the company Quality Management System, health, safety and environment guidelines, policies and regulations.To work safely within the company’s Health and Safety Procedures.To identify and keep essential stock items at necessary working levels.
