SEN Teacher – Secondary School
Location: St Leonards
Start date: Term 2 (November 9th)
Contract: Full time, maternity cover
Salary: MPS1–UPS3
We’re looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a secondary school in St Leonards from Term 2, covering a maternity leave.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of special educational needs and the confidence to create a supportive, structured learning environment. You’ll teach English and Maths to small groups and may also deliver targeted SEN interventions.
The role includes:
Planning and delivering engaging English and Maths lessons to small groupsSupporting students with a range of additional needsManaging classroom behaviour calmly and consistentlyDelivering SEN interventions as requiredWorking with colleagues to help students make progressWe’re looking for someone who:
Has high levels of SEN teaching knowledgeHas strong classroom and behaviour management skillsCan adapt teaching to meet students’ individual needsIs committed, patient and encouragingPay: MPS1 to UPS3, depending on experience and qualifications.
