Commercial Finance Manager (Interim to Permanent)

Harper May is partnering with an established, international B2B technology business. A Commercial Finance Manager is being hired on an initial six-month interim basis, with a clear route to a permanent role for the right person.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Commercial Finance Manager will review and present the monthly results and lead the commercial analysis and FP&A side of the business. A Management Accountant prepares the month-end, so this role is about reviewing it, explaining it and turning the numbers into insight the business can act on.

Key Responsibilities

Review the month-end management accounts prepared by the Management AccountantPresent monthly results and variance commentary to the Head of Finance and senior leadershipLead commercial analysis across customers, products and markets, including margin and profitabilityOwn budgeting, forecasting and reforecastsBuild and improve reporting and KPIs that help the business make decisionsPartner with commercial and operational teams on pricing, deals and performanceSupport ad-hoc analysis and projects for the Head of Finance and the leadership team

What we are looking for

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)Strong commercial finance or FP&A backgroundConfident reviewing management accounts and presenting numbers to non-finance leadersStrong Excel and modelling skillsAvailable for an interim start, and open to the role becoming permanentBased within a comfortable commute of Stamford; three days a week in the office
