Finance Manager

I'm working with a London-based small-batch coffee roaster that supplies restaurants and cafés across the city, alongside its own cafés, export and e-commerce channels. Ethical sourcing and sustainability sit at the centre of how they trade, and the culture values honesty, ownership and fairness.

They're looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to run the day-to-day finance function, reporting to the Finance Director and leading a team of two.

What you'll do

Own month-end and deliver management accounts with commentary and variance analysis against budgetReview journals, reconciliations and control accounts, keeping the balance sheet cleanOwn the weekly cash flow forecast, approve payment runs and manage working capitalOversee stock valuation and run quarterly stock auditsProduce monthly sales and margin reporting across wholesale, cafés, export and e-commercePartner with Commercial, Operations and the Exec team on budgets, forecasts and performanceLead the external audit and stay on top of VAT, payroll and statutory complianceCoach and develop two finance juniorsImprove processes and systems across Xero, Shopify and other business related systems.

What you'll bring

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or at final exam stage with strong relevant experienceExperience running month-end and producing full management accountsA solid grasp of balance sheet control, accruals and stock accountingExperience managing or mentoring junior team membersStrong Excel and working knowledge of XeroConfidence presenting numbers to senior leadershipBackground in FMCG, manufacturing, hospitality or multi-site retail is a plus
