Head of Microbiology QC

Head of Microbiology QC – Permanent – Berkshire A global pharmaceutical organization based in the Berkshire area are looking for a Head of Microbiology to join their team on a permanent basis.Reporting into the Head of Quality Control, you will provide leadership and direction across the microbiology QC teams driving performance to enable the delivery of smooth execution to the highest standards of science and quality by adhering to GMP standards.

You will be expected to mentor and coach team members on best practices with processes and testing schedules to increase the performance of the team.You will be expected to manage a large team including 6 direct reports from group leaders and principle scientists, as well as an indirect team of scientist and analysts.

You will be part of the QC/ Quality Control leadership team where you will establish priorities and overcome barriers, whilst engaging with stakeholders when applicable i.e.

hosting on site compliance audits for the QC laboratories.Suitable candidates will have experience of direct managing a large team within Quality Control in the pharmaceutical industry or similar GMP environment.
