FLT Driver / General Operative – Day Shifts

Allerton Bywater, Castleford, WF10 £12.98 per hour Monday to Friday Temp to Perm

Aqumen Recruitment is looking for an FLT Driver/General Operative to join a busy plastic recycling and manufacturing site in Allerton Bywater.

This is a physical, hands‑on production role, with around 80% shop‑floor work and 20% FLT/warehouse duties.

 

Day Shifts (flexible within core hours)

You must be able to work across the day‑shift pattern:

8am–4pm (core shift)

7am–3pm

9am–5pm

No nights. No rotating shifts.

 

The Role

You’ll be:

Feeding materials into recycling machinery

Preparing plastic materials for processing

Working around shredders, blenders and production equipment

Moving and organising materials

Carrying out general warehouse duties

Using a forklift when required

Keeping the work area clean and safe

 

We’re looking for people with

Warehouse, factory or general operative experience

Confidence in physical, hands‑on work

Some previous forklift driving experience

Valid FLT licence required

Reliable, safety‑focused approach

Comfortable spending most of the shift on the production floor

 

What’s on offer?

£12.98 per hour

Monday to Friday – no weekends

Overtime available (same rate as perm staff)
