Lead Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Manchester City Centre -  Facilities Management - Static

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading global facilities management provider, supporting a critical site in Manchester City Centre.

This role is ideal for a Senior Mechanical Engineer ready to take the technical lead on site, combining hands-on engineering with day-to-day leadership, compliance oversight and client interaction within a highly regulated healthcare environment.

Package:

Act as the Lead Mechanical Engineer on site, setting standards and providing technical direction to the engineering teamCarry out and oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical worksMaintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, plumbing, pipework and plant equipmentProvide hands-on support for complex or critical mechanical faultsEnsure full compliance with health & safety, statutory and healthcare regulationsAct as a key point of contact for the client, providing updates, reports and technical guidanceManage service documentation, permits to work, risk assessments and CMMS recordsCoordinate subcontractors and specialist service providers when requiredRequirements:

City & Guilds Level 3/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (essential)Minimum 3 years’ experience within building services or facilities maintenanceStrong working knowledge of commercial mechanical systems (AHUs, FCUs, pumps, valves, boilers, etc.)Experience working within a commercial FM environmentConfident communicator with the ability to lead by example on siteSolid understanding of H&S legislation and compliance standardsIf you are interested, please get in contact with Tom Meachin of CBW Staffing Solutions for more information.
