The role

As a Home Care Assistant you'll provide practical and emotional support to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing personal care and assistance with everyday activitiesSupporting clients with medication in line with their care plansPreparing meals and helping with light household dutiesOffering companionship and emotional supportSupporting individuals living with dementia and other care needsAccompanying clients to appointments and social activities

About you

We're looking for people who are passionate about helping others and take pride in providing high-quality care.

You'll ideally have:

A caring, patient and dependable approachGood communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work independently and manage your responsibilitiesPrevious care experience, although this is not essentialAn NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, although this is desirable rather than essentialA full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

No NVQ or previous care experience? Don't let that put you off. The right attitude, compassion and willingness to learn are just as important.
