Are you a qualified Social Worker with strong experience working with children and families? Are you confident managing complex cases and safeguarding concerns, while putting children and families at the centre of decision-making?
In the Senior Practitioner (Children & Families) role, you will be:
Managing a varied caseload of children and families with complex needsCompleting assessments, risk assessments and safeguarding investigationsWorking closely with children, families, carers and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomesPreparing and presenting reports and plans for meetings, reviews and Child Protection ConferencesChairing meetings where required and ensuring effective care planning and reviewsMaintaining accurate, timely and outcome-focused case recordsWorking collaboratively with colleagues across Social Services, Health, Police and other partner organisations
To be successful, you will need:
A recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Care WalesExperience of complex casework and safeguarding proceduresStrong knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance, including the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014/2016 requirementsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing detailed reportsThe ability to work independently, manage a busy caseload and prioritise effectivelyA current Enhanced DBS and driving licence with access to a vehicle, or the ability to travel as required
This is a 12-week temporary opportunity (initially), working full time, 37 hours per week. You'll be based in offices in Colwyn Bay with a requirement to travel throughout Conwy, offering an hourly rate of £31.26 per hour + benefits inc. weekly pay, holiday accrual and Corporate Conwy Ffit membership discount.
